European Week of Regions and Cities 2019

Organised by: European Commission and European Committee of the Regions

We are pleased to invite you to the events that EARLALL will organise in Brussels in the context of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2019. On Tuesday afternoon, the Norway House will host Project Matchmaking, an arena to find ideal partners with common interests and foster networking at the heart of Europe, as starting point for the conferences to follow on Wednesday and Thursday: BRIDGE+, at the SQUARE, and Building Regional Skills Ecosystems, at the European Committee of the Regions.

Project Matchmaking at Norway House

Five Norwegian municipalities in search for the ideal partners to make their Erasmus+ project ideas a reality will introduce their international initiatives for regional and local development in the fields of education, training and youth. Five simultaneous workshops will take place during which project ideas will be presented. Potential partners will be able to introduce themselves and contribute to project development, eventually building an international consortium to submit a project proposal* under Erasmus+ KA1, KA2 and KA3 (funding action specified in each proposals’ description).

Venue: Norway House, Brussels
Date: 8 October 2019
Time: 14.30 – 17 h

BRIDGE+ Workshop

The BRIDGE+ workshop will serve as an open window for both stakeholders to look into BRIDGE+ (co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union) and bring their inputs, and project partners (including regions) to get a better view of the state-of-art in different sectors and showcase their achievements so far. An open panel with questions will be the central axe of the session, and therefore an active participation from all the attendants is expected.

Venue: SQUARE meeting centre, Brussels
Date: 9 October 2019
Time: 14.30 – 16 h

“Building Regional Skills Ecosystems” Workshop

Education and training in European territories with a lifelong learning perspective is essential to foster regional development. Therefore, building and reinforcing sustainable skills ecosystems rises as a key action to tackle these challenges and transform them into opportunities that promote social cohesion, human well-being and economic growth, in line with the EU Pillar of Social Rights and SDGs.

Venue: European Committee of the Regions, Brussels
Date: 10 October 2019
Time: 9.15 – 10.45 h
