LCAMP has been recognised as a good practice in the first edition of the Good Practice Catalogue (Vol. 1), launched under the Harnessing Talent Platform (HTP) of the European Commission’s DG REGIO. This catalogue brings together successful initiatives from across Europe that address regional skills gaps, talent retention, and innovation.
This recognition reflects EARLALL’s active involvement in the Research & Innovation Working Group of the HTP, where the Secretariat proposed the inclusion of LCAMP as a leading example of how regional cooperation and place-based innovation can address skills gaps in advanced manufacturing.
The selection of LCAMP in this high-level EU publication demonstrates the value of EARLALL’s long-standing commitment to fostering lifelong learning and skills ecosystems at regional level. LCAMP’s approach—connecting VET providers, regional policymakers, and industry partners—is a tangible example of the type of cooperation the HTP aims to promote.
The inclusion of LCAMP in the HTP catalogue acknowledges its strategic role in supporting skills development in the advanced manufacturing sector through strong regional cooperation and innovation. LCAMP fosters collaboration between vocational education providers, industry, and regional authorities to align training with emerging labour market needs.
The initiative was nominated by EARLALL, LCAMP’s communications manager and active member of the HTP Research & Innovation Working Group. In this capacity, EARLALL contributes to guiding policy learning between regions and is responsible for LCAMP’s communication efforts.
The Good Practice Catalogue (Vol. 1) is the first joint outcome of the four HTP Working Groups: Digital, Research & Innovation (R&I), Health, and Territorial. These groups were created under the Talent Booster Mechanism, a key pillar of the Harnessing Talent Platform, to support regions facing demographic decline and talent development challenges.
The catalogue includes 31 initiatives that address priority areas defined in the groups’ Strategic Roadmaps—from digital skills and inclusive healthcare to regional innovation and social cohesion. Each good practice is accompanied by expert reflections from Working Group members, making the catalogue a practical resource for policymakers and regional practitioners.
EARLALL welcomes this milestone as a validation of its mission to empower regions in Europe through collaboration, skills development, and innovation. The Harnessing Talent Platform continues to be a key arena where EARLALL actively contributes to shaping policies and showcasing the strength of regional solutions.
A second volume of the Good Practice Catalogue is scheduled for 2026, and EARLALL will continue to advocate for impactful, transferable regional initiatives as part of its work within the Platform.
